Cincinnati Bengals Michael Johnson's Football and Cheer Camp, in addition to teaching sport and life skills, also brought Microsoft to Selma at the St. James Hotel. Around 100 kids from each middle school in Selma and Dallas County had a chance to learn how to use technology to become successful in life.

The educational opportunity came from some of Microsoft's young professionals who used to play football with Johnson at Georgia Tech. They started a company called AthleTECH which partners with Microsoft. AthleTECH goes to athletic camps and schools to educate kids on how to use technology for work, play and for education. The kids run through drills on how to use the internet to look up things, and to play lifelike games to teach them how to work together with people they do not know.
