SELMA, AL (WSFA)- An arrest has been made in connection to the burglary at an ABC store in Selma that happened late Tuesday night.
Thomas Edward Turner, 43, was arrested by the Selma Police Department on charges of burglary in the second degree. The ABC, located in the 2300 block of Marie Foster Street, was broken into by the front door where officers found a pane of glass broken out.
Officers on the scene were able to review the surveillance footage from the store, and from that they identified Turner. A patrolling officer spotted Turner riding a bicycle on St. Ann Street, and attempted to stop him, which resulted in a pursuit. Officers were able to make the arrest after a short pursuit on foot.
Turner is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail with a bond posted at $100,000.
